The Fine Print

Policies, Terms, and Conditions

CONFIDENTIALITY

Your privacy is of upmost importance to me. Apart from the following two exceptions, it is completely confidential that you are working with me at all, and all the content of what we speak about is exclusively between me and you.

  1. Criminal Violence: If you confess plans of violence towards yourself or other people, then I will take appropriate action, including disclosing your name and any relevant information to Government Agencies like Law Enforcement or EMTs, your family, and/or your friends. This would be exclusively for the purpose of trying to protect you from any involvement in harm towards yourself or others.

  2. Confidential Advising: In certain situations, I might ask for your permission to seek advise or feedback from my mentors, who are experienced therapists or pastors and experts in the field of mental health and counseling. If you gave your permission, I would describe your situation, and/or the interactions between us, while consulting them. This would only be for the purpose of seeking guidance and feedback that helps me to better serve you. Nonetheless, I will never speak about you in a way that reveals your identity, either directly by name or indirectly by give-away details. In other words, you will remain anonymous.

Liability

As a life coach, my role is to facilitate you in the process of defining your own values, and this will give you direction how to bring your lifestyle into more alignment. Sometimes I will also reference a relevant source of knowledge for you, which deals specifically with your problem. I may give you advice after I’ve taken the time to carefully understand your situation. My advise is generally principle-based and aimed at you developing integrity with your own values. Any particular actions or decisions I advise would be derivative to that.
I encourage you to seek valuable input from wherever you can find it, and at the same time, to consider yourself exclusively responsible for all the choices you make, as well as all their consequences. In the words of Marshall Rosenberg, “We deny responsibility for our actions when we attribute their cause to factors outside ourselves.” After all, even if you follow someone else’s advice, it’s still your choice to do so, and therefore, as long as you’re a sane, functioning adult, you’re still responsible for yourself. Whatever decisions you make based on our work together, the reason should be that you yourself have reasons to believe they’re good moves.

LIFE COACHING IS NOT CLINICAL THERAPY

I am an entrepreneur life coach, and not a licensed counselor, therapist, or doctor. I do not hold any college degrees or licenses in mental healthcare. I do not offer clinical diagnosis or treatment of any mental or medical conditions. The services I provide are not a replacement for professional mental health care or medical attention. You should not stop following the directions of any professional health care provider or therapist because you have begun working with me.

Right to Refuse services

I reserve the right to withhold services based on my discretion. This would be based on my own workload, your needs, and whether I feel we’re ready to commit to three-months, six-months, or one-year.

RESCHEDULING and NO-CALL-NO-SHOWS

When you need to reschedule a 1:1 coaching session, you are required to give me notice at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment. The phrase “extenuating circumstances” refers to:

  1. If there’s an emergency within 24 hours of our appointment that requires immediate medical attention.

  2. Events outside your control that prevent you from giving me notice at least 24 hours beforehand.

Apart from circumstances like these, if you don’t let me know at least a day in advance that you need to reschedule, then it counts as a session spent even though you were not present.

Please give me notice via text message or Whatsapp at (352) 474-9845. I may or may not see messages right away that you send by email or social media, and so it is best to text me.

CANCELLATION OF SERVICES

You have the right to cancel life coaching services at any time. You may do so simply by giving me written notice in an email to damo108@proton.me. You are not required to explain or justify the reasons why. But I would be grateful for your feedback, which you can offer in the email itself, or in my feedback form here.

You also have the option to pause services if you need to. Just let me know.

Whether you decide to cancel or pause, the rescheduling and no-call-no-show policies still apply. In other words, any sessions scheduled within 24 hours of your notice will be considered as spent. For more details on the the rescheduling and no-call-no-show policies, please see above.

Expiration

Any sessions you buy with me do not expire at any time. If for any reason I am unable to fulfill those sessions I owe you, then I will give you a refund.

REFUNDS

I do not offer refunds for services that have already been used. This includes group coaching sessions which you did not attend, as well as 1:1 sessions which you did not give proper notice before canceling.

The only exception is if you ask for a refund before the second session of our first time working together, in which case, I will give you a full refund.

If you purchased a 3-month plan, a 6-month plan, or a 12-month plan, but then you decide to cancel further services before you have used all of the sessions in your respective plan, then you are no longer entitled to the savings or bonus sessions that come with that discount. Rather, you will receive a refund for any amount of money that you have paid exceeding $299 per 4 sessions of services rendered ($75 per session).

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

When you visit my website, social media accounts, or commit to life coaching with me, then you will have access to my intellectual property in the form of writings, videos, images, and so on. You may use these resources for the purpose of aiding your personal growth and introspection, but not for any other purpose. You especially may not use my intellectual property for commercial purposes or portray it as your own.
